Bloomsburg Lacrosse Players Earn Post-Season Honors

BLOOMSBURG—Three Bloomsburg University lacrosse players have earned post-season honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) and U.S. Lacrosse. Named first team All-American and first team All-South Region were Brittany Wilkins (Barto/Boyertown) and Sheila Zilinski (Barto/Boyertown), while Dani Yeager (Delran, NJ/Delran) was named second team All-South Region.

Wilkins, a sophomore, earns All-American honors for the first time. She led the Huskies in caused turnovers this year with 59, while also finishing with 50 ground balls. Wilkins, a first team All-PSAC selection, also helped the Huskies on the offensive side of the ball netting five goals.




Zilinski, a graduate student, is an All-American for the third time in her career. She was previously a first team choice in 2003 and a second team selection last year. She led the Huskies in goals scored with 55 this year, while adding 13 assists for 68 points, second on the team. She was also second on the team in ground balls with 57 this season. Her best game of the year came against East Stroudsburg when she scored five times and had four assists for nine points. She also netted the game-winning goal against Lock Haven in the semi-finals of the PSAC playoffs. Zilinski was also first team All-PSAC twice in her career.

Dani Yeager

Yeager, a senior, earned second team All-Region honors for the first time. She led the Huskies in scoring this year with 72 points coming on 48 goals, second on the team, while also assisting on a team-high 24 others. Yeager also led the Huskies with 86 ground balls. Her best game of the year came in a win over East Stroudsburg when she scored six times and had four assists for 10 points. Yeager was first team All-PSAC in 2005 and a second team selection in 2004.
