Trio Named All-PSAC in Lacrosse
BLOOMSBURG--Three Bloomsburg University lacrosse players have been named to the 2006 All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Lacrosse team. Earning second team honors were Brittany Wilkins (Barto/Boyertown), Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and Sam Alexander (Willow Grove/Upper Moreland).
Wilkins, a junior, a defender, finished second on the team in ground balls with 34 and also added a team-high 21 ground balls. Offensively, Wilkins added nine goals and three assists for the Huskies, including four goals in a game with West Chester on April 19th. Wilkins was a first team All-PSAC selection a year ago.
Toms, a sophomore, led the Bloomsburg offensive attack with 36 goals while adding seven assists for a team-high 43 points. Toms best game of the year came in a win over IUP on March 28th when she scored seven goals in a 23-6 victory. She also scored five goals in a season-ending 17-3 win over East Stroudsburg.
Alexander, a freshman, finished second on the team in goals with 35 and points with 40, while adding five assists. Alexander's best game of the season came in a season-ending win over East Stroudsburg when she scored four goals and had one assist. She also netted four goals in a game with West Chester on April 19th and have five other games with three goals.
Bloomsburg finished the year 6-11.
