Picciotti Leads Huskies Past East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG--The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team defeated East Stroudsburg on Tuesday by a 14-9 score.

The two teams were tied 5-5 at halftime before the Huskies outscored the Warriors 9-4 to post the win.

The Huskies, 4-5, 4-3 in the PSAC, got a game-high five goals from Angie Picciotti (Chalfont/Central Bucks West), while Kimberly Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahan) scored three goals and had two assists. In addition Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) scored two goals and posted one assist. Scoring one goal each for Bloomsburg was Erica Nevin (Haddon Heights, NJ/Camden Catholic), Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton), Meg Taylor (West Chester/West Chester), Beth Stewart (Glenmoore/Downingtown) and Brittany Wilkins (Barto/Boyertown).

The Huskies host Slippery Rock on Thursday at 4 p.m.
