Bloomsburg Lacrosse Beats East Stroudsburg

BLOOMSBURG--Kylie Matthews (Gilbertsville/Boyertown) and Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) each scored four goals to lead the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team to a 15-10 win over East Stroudsburg on Thursday.

The teams were tied at 3-3 in the first half when the Huskies scored six consecutive goals over and 18 minute stretch to take control of the game. In the run for Bloomsburg Toms and Angie Picciotti (Chalfton/Central Bucks West) each scored twice.

In the second half Bloomsburg put the game out reach by scoring four of the first five goals of the half to grab a 13-6 lead with 18 minutes to play. East Stroudsburg could get no closer than the final margin of five goals.

Bloomsburg is now 6-5, 6-3 in the PSAC, and will host Millersville next Wednesday at 4 p.m.
