Bloomsburg Routs Indiana (Pa.)

BLOOMSBURG- Kim Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahan) scored four first-half goals as the Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team defeated Indiana (Pa.) by a score of 17-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Bloomsburg raced out to a 6-2 lead in the first fourteen minutes, courtesy of three goals from Springman and one from Angie Picciotti (Chalfont/Central Bucks West). The Huskies would score three goals in just over a one and-a-half minute span to take a 10-2 lead after one half of play.

The Huskies were never threatened in the second half, as Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) scored a pair of goals to lead the second half scoring for Bloomsburg.

Bridget Maenner had five saves in goal in only 30 minutes of work. With the win, the Huskies improve their record to 4-2 overall, 4-1 in the PSAC.

The Huskies return to action tomorrow afternoon, as they travel to Philadelphia to take on Philadelphia University. The action gets underway at Noon.
