Toms and Springman Lead Huskies to Win

INDIANA, PA.-- Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and Kim Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shananahan) combined for 13 goals to lead the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team to a 22-8 win over IUP on Friday.

Bloomsburg scored the first six goals of the game with Toms and Springman each scoring twice. The Huskies defense did not allow IUP on the board till under a minute to go in the first half.

In the second half with the Huskies leading 12-7, Bloomsburg put the game out of reach by scoring eight consecutive goals over a six minute stretch with Toms netting four straight herself.

Toms finished with seven goals scored, while Springman added six goals.

Bloomsburg is now 8-5, 8-3 in the PSAC, while IUP falls to 2-12, 1-10 in the PSAC. The Huskies play at Mercyhurst on Saturday at 11 a.m.
