Bloomsburg Lacrosse Falls to Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN- The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team fell to Lock Haven 20-9 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Saturday.
The Huskies got on the board 27 seconds into the first period when Sam Alexander (Willow Grove/Upper Moreland) fired a goal past Lock Haven's Kira Nuttall for the Huskies first goal. The Huskies held a 3-2 lead before Lock Haven out-scored the Huskies 10-2 over the final 20:44 of the first period to take a 12-5 lead after one period.
In the second, Lock Haven would extend their margin, getting three second period goals from Leigh Titus. Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) scored a pair of second period goals to pace Bloomsburg.
Kim Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahan) and Angela Picciotti (Chalfont/Central Bucks West) added two goals apiece to lead the offense, while Bridget Maenner (Philadelphia/Little Flower) made six saves in goal for the Huskies. With the loss, the Huskies fall to 4-5, 4-3 in the PSAC.
Bloomsburg returns to action on Monday when they host Shippensburg. The action gets underway at 4 p.m.
