Lacrosse Team Routs Slippery Rock

BLOOMSBURG- Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) scored five goals to lead the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team to a 23-2 victory over Slippery Rock in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match-up on Friday.
Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) added four goals for Bloomsburg, who ran out to a 14-1 lead at halftime. Eight different players contributed to the scoring for Bloomsburg, all scoring two goals or more. The Huskies out-shot Slippery Rock 44-5.
Angie Picciotti (Chalfont/Central Bucks West) and Mary Chirichella (Petersburg, NJ/Ocean City) both scored three goals for the Huskies. Bloomsburg improves their record to 1-2 overall, 1-1 in the PSAC.
Bloomsburg returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Millersville. That game gets underway at 4 p.m.
