Springman Powers BU to Win

SLIPPERY ROCK-- Kim Springman (Downingtown/Bishop Shanahan) scored five goals and added one assist and Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) scored four goals to lead the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team to a 19-2 win over Slippery Rock on Thursday.

The Huskies scored the first 11 goals of the game with Springman getting three of her goals in the first 16 minutes of play. In the second half the Huskies scored the first four goals of the period to a take a 15-1 lead and were never threatened. Bridgett Maenner (Philadelphia/Little Flower) went the distance in goal for Bloomsburg and stopped three shots.

The Huskies, now 3-2, 3-1 in the PSAC, will host IUP on Saturday at 1 p.m.
