Bloomsburg Falls to West Chester in Lacrosse

BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team lost to West Chester on Monday by a score of 20-9.

The Huskies got off to a good start when Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) scored just 41 seconds into game, then made it 2-0 Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) scored 3:11 into the game. West Chester came back with the next five goals, including three by Jackie Baker, to take a 5-2 lead.

Bloomsburg would score three of the next four goals to climb back to within a goal at 6-5.The Golden Rams, though, came back with three consecutive scores to lead 9-5 before the Huskies scored just before halftime to trail 9-6 at the break.

In the second half the Golden Rams took control of the game by scoring four of the first five goals of the period to go in front 13-7 and went on to the 11-goal win.

Toms and Tia Mazzie (Barto/Boyertown) scored two goals each for the Huskies, while West Chester (14-1, 12-0 PSAC) got six goals and five assists from Stephanie Kienle.

Bloomsburg, now 8-7, 8-4 in the PSAC, will host Lock Haven on Thursday at 4 p.m.
