Three Huskies Named to IWLCA Academic Squad
BLOOMSBURG-Three Bloomsburg University lacrosse players were recently selected by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) to be part of its 2009 Division II Academic Squad.
2009 seniors Sam Alexander (Willow Grove/Upper Moreland), Cara McGroarty (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) were named to the team in recognition of their outstanding dedication and hard work in the classroom. Quigley also earned first team All-PSAC honors last season.
407 total student-athletes at 152 schools around the country were selected to the IWLCA Academic Squad. All players considered for academic recognition by the organization were required to have at least a 3.5 GPA or were in the top 10 percent of their respective teams.
