BLOOMSBURG—For the second time this season Bloomsburg University men's basketball player Matt Jefferson (Philadelphia/Engineering and Science) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Basketball Eastern Division Rookie of the Week.

In two games last week for the Huskies, Jefferson averaged 13 points and 5.5 rebounds a game, while shooting 63.2 percent from the floor (12-19) and averaging three blocks per game.

Jefferson's best game of the week came against Kutztown when he scored a career-high 20 points, had five rebounds, six blocked shots and two assists in the team's one-point loss.

For the year, Jefferson is averaging 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds a game. He is second in blocked shots with 23 and has made nine starts on the year.

Bloomsburg is 6-18 on the season.
