Bloomsburg Wins Behind 17 from Adam Bohman

EAST STROUDSBURG —Senior Adam Bohman (Sussex, NJ/Vernon Twp.) scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures as Bloomsburg University beat East Stroudsburg, 75-62, Saturday evening in men's college basketball action.

After falling behind 5-0 to start the game, Ryan Luckman (York/York Catholic) scored the Huskies first basket at the 18:32 mark, which got Bloomsburg (4-12, 1-3 PSAC) going on a 10-0 run. Later in the first half, with the Huskies leading 27-21, Bloomsburg went on a 9-4 run to close out the half and lead 36-25 at the break. Tom Barlow scored five points in the run for the Huskies.

In the second half the Huskies started quickly and outscored East Stroudsburg (4-11, 0-3 PSAC East) 8-2 in the first minute and a half of the period to open a 44-27 advantage. Bloomsburg's biggest lead of the game came with 13:29 to play when Luckman hit one of two free throws to give the Huskies a 51-31 lead. The closest the Warriors could get the remainder of the way was 11 points with less than a minute to play.

Bohman, who did not start the game, finished 6 of 12 from the floor and had eight rebounds and four assists. Tom Barlow (Dresher/Upper Dublin) and Ryan Luckman added 16 points each. Barlow now needs just one point to reach 1,000 for his career. Jaren Burdine (Reading/Reading) added 11 points and a career-high 11 rebounds in the win. The Huskies shot the ball for the game, connecting on 56.8 percent of its shots (25-44), while limiting East Stroudsburg to just 36.7 percent shooting (22-60) for the night.

Aamir Taylor led the Warriors with 17 points, while Lamont Jones added 16 in a losing cause.

The Huskies will host Kutztown Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
