BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University men's basketball player Matt Jefferson (Philadelphia/Engineering and Science) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Rookie of the Week for the period ending February 2nd.

In two games last week Jefferson, a 6-6, 190 pound forward, averaged 12 points and five rebounds a game. He shot 57.9 percent from the floor (11-19) for the week, while also getting two assists and one steal. His best game of the week was against Kutztown when he scored 12 points and had seven rebounds.

For the year, Jefferson is averaging 4.3 points and 3.6 rebounds a game.

Bloomsburg, 5-13, will host Cheyney University Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
