Munford played for the Huskies from 1997-98 to 2000-01 where he finished with 1,354 points, 10th on the all-time scoring list. He was also named to the first team All-PSAC East following his senior season, when he led the team with 15.4 points per game and a .422 three-point percentage. Following his senior season at Bloomsburg, Munford went on to play for the New York Nationals, the opposing counterpart of the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters. After his stint with the Nationals, Munford is excited and eager to come back and coach for his alma mater. “It's almost like a dream come true,” Munford said. “It's a great opportunity to be able to come back and work with a faculty and staff that I'm already familiar with.” Interim coach Rich Mills was equally as pleased to have Munford on the coaching staff. “He was a consummate student-athlete when he was here and he knows what we're all about with the program,” Mills said. “He's somebody I feel comfortable with.” Bloomsburg will open its season November 23 at the Shepherd College Tournament. |
