Bloomsburg Downs Shepherd College in Conrad's Debut

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV —Seth Scott scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Bloomsburg University men's basketball team to a 75-69 win over Shepherd College for in the Bloomsburg debut for new coach Terry Conrad.

The Huskies fell behind in the early going, 7-0, but rallied to grab a 14-13 lead on a basket by Jason Benson. Shepherd College, though rallied and led by a bucket at halftime 34-32.

In the second half, the Huskies and the Rams traded leads before Bloomsburg was able open a seven point lead at 63-56. After Shepherd College closed the gap to five, Benson made a steal and went the length of the floor to once again make it a seven point margin.

Down the stretch the Huskies got some key free throws from Scott as well as jumper from Matt Jefferson, after Shepherd had pulled to within three, to aid in the victory.

Scott finished with a career-high 19 points, while Jefferson and freshman John Owens added 12 points each.

Conrad is a former standout for the Huskies. He was previously head coach at Lycoming College before being named head coach of the Huskies in May of this year.

Shepherd College was led in scoring by Brad Catlett's 20 points. A complete box score was not available.
