Bloomsburg Falls to St.. Augustine's in Men's Basketball

BOWIE, MD Terry Sumter scored a game-high 25 points to lead four players in double figures as St. Augstine's beat Bloomsburg University in men's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Bowie State Tip-Off Classic.
Bloomsburg got off to a good start in the game and led by four, 19-15, with 11:26 to play in the opening half. St. Augstine's rallied and took a 24-21 lead with 7:22 after a layup from Damien Mills. From that point on it was all St. Augustine's as it went on a 25-10 run over the final 10 minutes of half to lead by 18 at the break, 49-31. Sumter keyed the run for St. Augstine's with 11 points in the rally.
In the second half, after the Huskies fell behind by 22, back to back baskets by Jason Benson and Brian Holsey got Bloomsburg back to within 18, St. Augustine's pulled away and won easily.
Along with Sumter getting 25 points, he also grabbed 12 rebounds and had five assists. Desmond People's added 20 points and 23 rebounds with Damien Daniels getting 21 and Cedrid Williams 14.
Bloomsburg's lone double figurer scorer was Benson with 21 points. The Huskies suffered from a poor shooting performance hitting only 28.8 percent of its shots for the game (23-80).
Bloomsburg, 2-2, will be back in action at Lycoming College on Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 7:30 p.m.
