Bloomsburg Men's Basketball Falls to California (PA)

BLOOMSBURG- Despite three players scoring in double figures for the Huskies, Bloomsburg University lost a 65-59 men's basketball game to California (PA) on Saturday night.
The Vulcans jumped out to a lead behind six early points by Boris Mesnager, going up by 10 just three minutes into the first half. The Huskies stayed in the game with Billy Bryan (Denver/Holy Name) scoring twelve as Bloomsburg cut the California lead to 32-31 at the end of the first half.
California continued their strong play in the second half, matching their largest first half lead of 10 with just under seven minutes to play in the game. The Huskies cut the lead to four points on a three-pointer from Mike Cheatle (North Wales/Hatboro-Horsham), but the Vulcans pulled away with the final score California (PA) 65, Bloomsburg 59.
Bryan led Bloomsburg (3-8) in scoring with 20 while Cheatle added 14 and Matt Jefferson (Philadelphia/Engineering & Science) chipped in 12.
For the Vulcans (9-3), Osborne Garner scored a game-high 21 points, while Mesnager added 13 and James Petty scored 11.
The Huskies are back in action tomorrow night against Shippensburg for a 3:00 start.
