Bloomsburg Rallies to Beat Millersville in Overtime

BLOOMSBURG- Mike Cheatle (North Wales/ Hatboro-Horsham) scored a career-high 23 points, including a game-tying three pointer with 19 seconds remaining in regulation, as the Huskies went on to defeat PSAC rival Millersville 83-78 in overtime at the Nelson Field House on Saturday.
Trailing 68-65 with 19 seconds left, Cheatle drained a three-pointer to tie the game at 68. Millersville failed to convert on their final possession and the game went into overtime. In overtime, with Bloomsburg leading 78-76 and 15 seconds remaining, Millersville head coach Frank Thompson was called for two technical fouls and was ejected from the game. The Huskies were then given four free throws and possession of the ball. Cheatle was put on the line for Bloomsburg and hit all four free throws to seal the win.
Junior Billy Bryan (Denver/ Holy Name) registered a double-double, scoring 23 points on 10-17 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds. Marion Rose (Philadelphia/ Mastbaum) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for Bloomsburg. Greg Testa had a game high 26 points and Sherman Moye scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Millersville
The Huskies improve to 5-16, 1-5 in the PSAC East, while Millersville falls to 7-14, 1-5 in the PSAC East. Bloomsburg will host East Stroudsburg on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
