Bloomsburg Falls to Shepherd in Men's Basketball

BLOOMSBURG- Chad Myers scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Shepherd University men's basketball team to a 85-69 win over Bloomsburg University on Saturday afternoon.

Shepherd jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first half but the Huskies battled back and cut the lead to four on a three-point play by Matt Jefferson (Philadelphia/Engineering & Science), making the score 16-12 with eight minutes to play in the first half.

However, Bloomsburg would get no closer than four as Shepherd's Myer's scored 21 of his 31 points in the first half to give Shepherd a 40-26 lead going into the locker room.

Opening the second half, Bloomsburg cut the lead to 12 but Shepherd once again pulled away with the final score, 85-69.

For the Huskies, Marion Rose (Philadelphia/Mastbaum) had a career-high 25 points while Billy Bryan (Denver/Holy Name) scored 17 and Jefferson added 10.

The Rams were lead by Myers and Yves Moliva who finished with 13 points.

Bloomsburg is idle until December 20th when they take on Edinboro at 7:30 p.m.
