Bloomsburg Falls to West Chester in Men's Basketball

WEST CHESTER -The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team lost to West Chester, 82-64, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game on Wednesday.
The Huskies (4-16, 0-5 PSAC East) fell behind 11-0 in the first couple minutes of play, but rallied and got within 15-10 with 13 minutes to go in the half. Leading the rally was Matt Jefferson (Philadelphia/Engineering and Science) who scored eight of the Huskies' points in the run.
West Chester (12-8, 4-2 PSAC East) then used a big run and went in front 41-18 with 3:51 to play in the period.
In the second half, Bloomsburg got to within 15 points at 69-54 with 5:28 to play after putting together an 8-3 run. But that would be as close as the Huskies would get the rest of the way.
Jefferson led the Huskies with 21points, while Billy Bryan (Denver/Reading Holy Name) added 19 points, Marion Rose (Philadelphia/Mastbaum) 13 and Mike Cheatle (North Wales/Hatboro-Horsham) 11.
West Chester was by Mark Gerhart with 24 points, while Donnell Butler added 23 points.
Bloomsburg will host Millersville on Saturday at 3 p.m.
