Bloomsburg Falls to Mansfield in Men's Basketball

MANSFIELD--The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team lost to Mansfield University on Saturday by a score of 98-67 in the season-finale for both teams.

Mansfield jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the game before the Huskies came back and got within two, 7-5, on a jumper from Nick Jones (Rosedale, NY/Hillcrest). The Mountaineers would later go on a 14-4 run to take a 24-11 lead with 9:15 left in the half. Bloomsburg briefly closed to within nine points, but a 19-10 run by Mansfield made it an 18-point lead at 43-25 with a minute to go before halftime. In the second half, the Huskies could not get any closer than 12 points.

Jones led the Huskies, who finished with a mark of 8-19, with a game-high 28 points, while Niko Traykov (Bulgaria) added 12 points.

Mansfield, 17-10, got 19 points from John Hampton and 17 from Kevin Hill.
