Bloomsburg Falls to West Chester in Men's Basketball

WEST CHESTER--The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team lost to West Chester on Wednesday by a score of 71-59 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match-up.

The Huskies trailed 19-10 in the game before going on a 14-7 run to narrow the gap to 26-24 with 1:59 to go in the half after a three-pointer from Jon DeJesus (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg North).

After trailing by four points at the break, the Huskies made it a two-point game on a jumper Nick Jones (Rosedale, NY/Hillcrest) just 15 seconds into the half. Later, with the Huskies trailing by six points after a jumper by John Allen (Hatfield/North Penn), the Golden Rams went on a 15-6 run to grab a 54-39 lead. The Huskies would get back to within 10 points later in the game before West Chester would settle for the 12 point victory.

Bloomsburg was led by Jeremiah Long (New Columbia/Mifflinburg) with a career-high 13 points, while Jones added 12 points. West Chester, 10-8, 2-2 in the PSAC East, got 16 points from Kenneth St. George and 12 from Kehinde Roberts.

The Huskies, now 8-11, 0-5 in the PSAC East, will be idle till Feb. 6th when they host Mansfield at 7:30 p.m.
