BU Falls to East Stroudsburg in Men's Basketball

BLOOMSBURG-- Bloomsburg University placed three players in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Huskies lost to East Stroudsburg, 82-71, on Wednesday night in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game.
The Huskies and Warriors were locked in a tight battle in the first 20 minutes which saw the game tied six time and have four lead changes. The Huskies held their biggest lead of the half at five points with 16:56 to play on a layup by Bryson Mills (Williamsport/Ben Franklin), while the Warriors took their biggest lead, four points, with 1:32 left in the half on basket by Dawud Lyons.
Leading 36-33 at the break, the Warriors used a 15-2 run to go in front by 16 points, 51-35, with 16:10 to go in the game. East Stroudsburg would later push the lead to as many as 24 points in the second half, before the Huskies finished strong. Jordan Wartman (Mahanoy City/Mahanoy Area) came off the bench and scored all 13 of his points in the final 12 minutes to lead the Bloomsburg rally, including hitting three of five from three-point range, in the 16-5 run over the final three and a half minutes of action.
Ruben Britt (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) topped Bloomsburg in the scoring column with 14 points, while Wartman had 13 and Larry Webster (Elkton, Md/Elkton) added 10 points. East Stroudsburg, 13-9, 4-5 in the PSAC East, got 16 points from Andy Heinmbach, while Chris Bach scored 15.
The Huskies host West Chester on Saturday starting at 3 p.m.
