Webster Named PSAC East Freshman of the Week For Third Time
BLOOMSBURG--Bloomsburg men's basketball player Larry Webster (Elkton, MD/Elkton) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Freshman of the Week for the period ending Dec. 21. This is the second straight week and third time this season Webster has been honored as the freshman of the week.
Webster claims the honor after 23-point, nine-rebound performance in a Bloomsburg loss to Wilmington.
The 23 points were a career high and he also added four blocked shots and three steals. Seven of his nine rebounds were on the offensive end and he shot 61.1 percent (11-of-18) from the field in the game. This also marks the fourth time in six weeks that a member of the Huskies has been named the PSAC East Freshman of the Week.
Bloomsburg is idle till Jan. 3 when it travels to Lock Haven.
