BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University men's soccer player Dustin Henry (Bernville/Tulpehocken) was named the PSAC Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 24.
In two games last week, Henry allowed just one goal to lead Bloomsburg to two victories. He posted a 2-0 shutout, while stopping three shots, against Pitt-Johnstown Wednesday afternoon. He saved his best work for the end of the week when he made 10 saves against Dowling College, the number two-ranked team in the country in Division II, in a 2-1 double overtime victory. Dowling scored a goal midway through the first half before Henry stopping the Golden Lions the remainder of regulation and both overtime periods.
For the season, Henry has a goals against average of 2.0 with 35 saves and two shutouts.
Bloomsburg is 5-3-1, 0-2 in the PSAC, this season. The Huskies face Lock Haven Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Central Mountain Middle School West.
