BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University men's soccer player Alex Sisakovic (Belgrade, Serbia) was named to the Northeast Region second team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Sisakovic, a senior, helped the Huskies to an 8-8-3 record, including a mark of 1-5-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
This is the second post-season award for Sisakovic this year after he was named to the All-PSAC first team. He was named to the All-PSAC second team in 1999.
The veteran midfielder played all 19 games and scored six goals to go along with six assists for a total of 18 points. He ranked first on the team in all three categories and finished the season with an average of 0.31 goals and assists per game. His 0.9 points per game also led the team. Sisakovic accounted for nearly a quarter of the Huskies' offense for the season.
In two seasons at Bloomsburg, after transferring from Dowling College, Sisakovic scored 14 goals while assisting on seven more for a total of 35 points. Sisakovic scored one goal in the Huskies' 2-1 overtime victory against his former team this past season.
