Bassett begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Huskies. A 2001 graduate of Messiah College, Bassett was a three-year starter for the Falcons and co-captain his senior year. He helped Messiah capture the 2000 NCAA Division III title.

Bassett was a second team Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League All-Star selection as a senior and scored 13 goals in his career.

Bassett, who graduated with a degree in environmental science, is working on his master's degree incurriculum and instruction.
