Men's Soccer Drops Nine Places in National RankingsBLOOMSBURG— The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team dropped to 19th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas Division II poll this week. The Huskies, 10-1-2, dropped from 8th place last week due to a 1-0 loss to Kutztown last Wednesday. The loss ended a 16 game unbeaten streak for the Huskies dating back to last season. This drop in the rankings also ended their gradual climb that they have experienced ever since opening the season ranked 21st. On the season, Adam Clay (Dallas/Dallas) leads the Huskies with six goals and four assists, while Adam Grady (Malvern/Archbishop Carroll), Greg Pompei (Andover, NJ/Newton), Karl Lohninger (Sparta, NJ/Sparta), and Travis Martzall (Myerstown/ELCO) have each registered four goals apiece. Mike Ross (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) has three goals and five assists, while Venus Cherry (Castries, St. Luca/Castries Comprehensive) has three goals and four assists. In goal, Dustin Henry (Bernville/Tulpehocken), 6-0-1, has 26 saves and a goals against average of 0.55, while Kevin Wright (Souderton/Pennridge), 4-1-1, leads the team in saves with 28 and has a goals against average of 1.045.
