Bloomsburg Defeats Concordia in Men's Soccer<

BLOOMSBURG — Josh Prall (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) and Greg Pompei (Andover, NJ/Newton) scored two goals each to lead the Bloomsburg University soccer team to a 5-2 win over Concordia College Wednesday.

The Huskies opened the scoring 14:24 into the game when sophomore Prall scored on a header. Pompei tallied the next goal to put Bloomsburg up 2-0 at the half. Another Pompei goal 5:33 into the 2nd half gave the Huskies a 3-0 lead.

Concordia fired back with two goals in a span of five minutes to cut the lead to one. Prall added his second goal to put Bloomsburg up by two and Steve Feimster (Stroudsburg/Pocono Mt. E.) added a late goal on a free kick to seal the victory for the Huskies.

In goal, Bloomsburg's Jason Balthaser (Burnville/Tulpehocken) earned the win, making four saves.

Bloomsburg, 3-3, will host West Chester on Saturday at 1 p.m.
