Bloomsburg Downs District of Columbia in Men's Soccer

WASHINGTON, DC — Adam Clay (Dallas, PA/Dallas) scored two goals to lead the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team to a 3-2, double overtime, win against the District of Columbia on Wednesday afternoon.

Josh Prall (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) put Bloomsburg on the board first when he scored off an assist from Trevor Kepner (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) 28 minutes into the game. The Firebirds' Alvin Quivera then tied the score less than a minute later and put UDC in front at the 34-minute mark with his second goal of the game.

Then, trailing 2-1 in the second half, Clay tied the score with a goal at the 57-minute mark. The game remained tied at 2-2 through the remainder of regulation and through the first overtime. Then five and half minutes into the second overtime Clay scored to give the Huskies the win.

Bloomsburg, 4-5, will be idle till Oct. 5th when it travels to Kutztown.
