Men's Soccer Falls to West Chester in Season Finale

BLOOMSBURG —The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team fell to West Chester, 3-1, in its final game of the season on Sunday. With the loss, the Huskies finish the year at 6-13, 1-7 in the PSAC.

Greg Pompei (Andover, NJ/Newton) scored the lone goal for the Huskies in the 21st minute. West Chester responded with a goal 30 seconds later to tie the game.

In the second half, the Golden Rams got a quick start, scoring 41 seconds into the half to take a permanent lead over the Huskies. Their final goal came with 6:15 remaining in the game to seal the win.

In goal for Bloomsburg, Jon Keller (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) had nine saves, including three saves in a two-minute span in the second half.

With the victory, West Chester moves on to the PSAC playoffs that will begin next week.
