Men's Soccer Planning Fall Alumni Event

BLOOMSBURG--On October 20th the BU Men's Soccer team will be hosting their annual fall alumni event. This is Homecoming weekend here at Bloomsburg so it should be a great opportunity to come out and support the Huskies as well as see old teammates and friends.

This will be a special alumni gathering as we plan to recognize several former BU players at halftime of the varsity match. Toby Rank, a 2007 Hall of Fame inductee as well as Eric Pettis and Adam Clay will be recognized. Eric is the principal owner of the Harrisburg City Islanders who recently captured the USL Division 2 Championship with a thrilling PK shoot win over Richmond. Adam Clay, a member of the Islanders and a former standout here at Bloomsburg played a key role in this successful season as well as in the championship match when he notched a crucial PK in the shootout. Toby was inducted into the Bloomsburg University Hall of Fame in ceremonies held in recently.

At 11:00 AM the soccer alumni will participate in an alum v. alum match at Sports Stadium. Jason Durham will again be in charge and will do the drafting of teams so its important to let him know whether you will be lacing up the boots. After the match Bloomsburg men's soccer team will take on Lock Haven in a PSAC tussle.

Following the varsity match an alumni social will be held at the Windsor Heights Golf Course Clubhouse in Buckhorn from 5-8:00 PM. Several alumni plan on arriving and getting some golf in on Friday so let me or Jason know if you plan to jump in on that activity. We hope to see everyone back and making this years event a success. Please pass this on to former teammates who may not be getting these emails or are unaware of our gatherings. I look forward to seeing everyone on the 20th.
