Bloomsburg Men's Soccer Plays Scoreless Tie

BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team played a 0-0 tie going into two overtime periods against the Shippensburg Raiders on Saturday afternoon. With the tie the Huskies are 1-0-3 overall and 0-0-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
The Huskies had 17 attempts and six shots on net, while they held the Raiders to only seven attempts with three shots on goal. Both teams were only able to get one shot off in the first over-time period, while the Huskies were able to get a shot off in the second over-time period.
Both teams' goalkeepers played a part in the scoreless effort. Bloomsburg's goalkeeper, junior David Leiendecker (Easton, PA) made three saves in the game and Shippensburg's Brad Patke (Arlington, TX) had six saves on the night.
Bloomsburg will host Pitt-Johnstown on Tuesday, September 9th at 7:00 p.m.
