Lamb's Goal Lifts Huskies to Road Win
Box Score
SHIPPENSBURG-- Paul Lamb's (Quakertown/Quakertown) goal with less than a minute to play in the second overtime lifted Bloomsburg University to a 2-1 win over Shippensburg University on Saturday afternoon. The overtime win was the second time this week the Huskies have won in an extra session and the third straight time the team has won an overtime game.
Lamb's goal, the first of his collegiate career, came on a header after a pass from Chris Chestnut (West Lawn/Wilson) with 53 seconds left in the second overtime.
Bloomsburg opened the scoring in the game when Brian Farrell (Telford/Souderton) hot the back of the net with 49 seconds left before halftime. It was Farrell's first goal of the season as well. Shippensburg tied the score in the 62nd minute when Brad Anderson scored unassisted before Lamb's heroics won in the last minute of play.
The Huskies, 7-5-4, 2-2-2 in the PSAC East, play at East Stroudsburg on Tuesday.
