Bloomsburg Men's Swimming Wins Kutztown Invitational

KUTZTOWN The Bloomsburg University men's swim team won the Kutztown Invitational on Saturday finishing with 700 team points while also setting to pool records.
The Huskies set pool records in the 200-medley relay with the A team finishing in 1:39.32. The B team was third in the event in 1:45.89.
Also, in the 100-breast, Jason Davis (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) finished first in a record time of 1:00.51. Davis was also first in the 200-breast in 2:16.73. In the 100-butterfly, the Huskies swept the top three spots with Tom DiSalvatore (Thornton/West Chester East) taking first with a PSAC-qualifying time of 54.00, while Matt Fender (Swarthmore/Central O'Hara) was second in 56.44 and Steve Fisher (Tunkhannock/Tunkhannock) third in 56.55.
In the 200-free, Andy Wise (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) was first in 1:51.34, while in the 100-backstroke Brandon Hilt (Mount Joy/Hempfield) was second in a PSAC-qualifying time of 54.86. In the 200-backstroke, Hilt was second in 2:01.58, while in the 100-free Fisher was first in 48.80 with Matt Fender third in 50.30. In the 200-butterfly, DiSalvatore was second in 2:05.46, while in the 400-IM Rob Robitaille (Enola/East Pennsboro) was third in 4:52.67. In the 1,650 free, Dave Rude (Pottstown/Westmont Christian) was second in 18:02.26.
In two other relays, the BU A team was first in 7:33.19, while the 400 free relay A team was first in 3:19.45.
