Bloomsburg Swimming at PSAC ChampionshipsWEST CHESTER After two days of the PSAC Swimming Championships the Bloomsburg University women's team is in 5th place with 119.5 points, while the men are 6th with 114.5 points. For the women, Ashley Jones was the top finisher of the day with a third place finish in the 200 free in a time of 1:55.15. Also, Becky Witwer was 6th in the 100-breast in 1:09.61, while in the 100 backstroke, Kari Pokrzwta was seventh in 1:01.61. In the 400 IM, Erin Carey was 10th in 4:48.70. For the men, Jason Davis was 4th in the 100-breaststroke in 59.76, while in the 100 butterfly, Tom DiSalvatore was tied for 5th in 53.48. In the 100-backstroke, Brandon Hilt was 10th in 54.28, while Andy Wise was 11th in 200 free in 1:50.59. In relay events, the Bloomsburg men were 4th in the 200-medley relay in a time of 1:36.62 and 5th in 800 free relay in 8:01.56. In women's relay events, the Huskies were 6th in the 800-free relay in 7:27.95. The final of the championships will be Saturday at West Chester University. |
