Bloomsburg Swim Teams Fall to West Chester
MEET RESULTS
BLOOMSBURG --The Bloomsburg University men's and women's team lost to West Chester on Saturday afternoon. The women's team lost 105-100, while the men fell by a score of 132-72.
For the men, Travis Backenstoe (Walnutport/Northampton) had two first place finishes, placing first in the 100-free in 50.19 and in the 50-free in 21.46.Steve Post (Scranton/Scranton) has placed third in the 200-free in a time of 1:47.91.
For the women, Erin Carey (West Chester/Henderson) and Dianna Smith (West Grove/Avon Grove) had two first place finishes for the Huskies. Carey finished first in the 400 IM in a time of 4:45.38 and in the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.37. Smith placed first in the 100-free in a time of 54.66 and in the 200-free in a time of 1:57.75. Courtney Dean (Lancaster/ Hempfield) placed second in the 50 free 25.80 and Lauren Sterkenberg(Lancaster/ Hempfield) also finished second in the 200 fly in a time of 2:18.38. Barb Caccia (Lauren Springs,NJ/ Sterling High) finished second in the 1650-free in a time of 18.49.30.
The Huskies will swim again February 15th at the PSAC Championships.
