Bloomsburg Swim Teams Sweep Albright

READING-- The Bloomsburg University men and women's swim teams beat Albright College on Friday night. The women won by a score of 107-98, while the men posted a 117-88 victory. The women's team is now 3-1 and the men's team is 3-0.

For the women, it came down to the 400 free relay team of Allie Reed (Selinsgrove /Selinsgrove), Jessica Gribbin (Richboro /Council Rock North), Sara Hippeli (Quakertown/Quakertown) and Dianna Smith (West Grove) for the Huskies win. The Huskies finished first in a time of 3:42.11.

Smith also placed first in the 50-free (25.36) and in the 100-free (54.28). Reed finished first in the 200-free (1:59.29), while Hippeli placed first in the 500-free (5:23.54).

For the men, Joe Bentz (York/ York Suburban) and David Mancinelli (Plymout/ Meeting/ Westmont Hilltop) were two-time winners. Bentz placed first in the 1000-free (10:19.58) and in the 200-fly (2:01.74). Mancinelli placed first in the 50-free (22.74) and in the 100-free (49.81).
