Swim Teams Split with The College of New Jersey
Results
BLOOMSBURG-- The Bloomsburg University men and women's swim team competed against The College of New Jersey on Saturday. The women won by a score of 135-127, while the men lost their first of the season, 137-116.
On the men's side, the Huskies lost for the time in four dual meets despite Tyler DeLorenzo (State College/ State College) placing first in the 50-free ( 23.11) with Steve Withers (Chalfont /Central Bucks West) taking first in the 200 IM (2:12.25).
In another close meet, it came down again to the 400 -ree relay team of Allie Reed (Selinsgrove /Selinsgrove), Jessica Gribbin (Richboro /Council Rock North), Sara Hippeli (Quakertown/Quakertown) and Dianna Smith (West Grove) for the win.
Smith also placed first in the 200-free (1:57.10) 100 free (54.87) and the 50-free (25.27). Ashley Carroll (Mohrsville /Schuylkill Valley) placed first in the 100 back (1:04.67), while Emily Stiles (Landsdale/ North Penn) finished first in the 200 back (2:17.47). Lisa Ferrigno (West Chester /Bishop Shanahan) placed first in the 200 IM (2:17.53)
The Huskies will be back in action November 30th when they compete at the Akron Invitational.
