Bloomsburg Tennis Players Sweep PSAC East Weekly Awards

BLOOMSBURG— Two Bloomsburg University tennis players swept the PSAC Player of the Week awards.

For the men, Mike McGrath (Media/Penncrest) won the award by leading the team to a four-match winning streak. He recently won No. 2 singles matches against Northern Kentucky and Catawba. In doubles action, McGrath hasn't lost a doubles match since February 15, against Division I Penn State, a streak of seven matches. McGrath is 10-6 on the season, and 2-0 at the No.1 position. In doubles, he holds a record of 14-3 competing with different partners throughout the season.

On the women's side, Erin Bartsch (Warren/Warren) also won the PSAC Player of the Week award by posting wins in her last six singles matches at number one, including two of the last three by shutout. She has also won five out of her last six doubles matches. Bartsch is 15-2 this season in singles action, and 11-2 in doubles action with her teammate Miranda Campbell.
