Bloomsburg Loses at NCAA Men's Tennis Regionals

FLUSHING, NY —The Bloomsburg University men's tennis team lost its opening round NCAA Division II championship match by a 5-3 score to Queens College of New York on Thursday. With the loss the Huskies end their season with a mark of 9-11.

The Huskies trailed 2-1 after doubles play with the team of Brian Bogus and Dan Gal getting Bloomsburg's lone win.

In singles action, the Huskies picked up wins from Mark Vellek at number four singles and Mark Farnsworth at number two, while Gal and Kevin Wenck lost at three and six respectively.

With Queens holding a 4-3 lead in the match, Bloomsburg's Mike McGrath lost a tough three-setter at number one, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
