Bloomsburg Takes Part in PSAC East Indoor Track Challenge

KUTZTOWN —The Bloomsburg University men's and women's indoor track teams took part in the PSAC Eastern Division Challenge Meet at Kutztown University on Saturday. Both teams finished sixth with 32 points.

On the women's side, Amanda Pisano (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown) was third in the mile in a time of 5:17.64, while in the 800-meters, Cherise Mercer (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) ran a season-best time of 2:24.71. In the 5,000 meter race, Karen Hause (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) was fifth in a personal-best time of 19:30.94, while Amanda Pisano was sixth in 19:31.04.

For the men, Greg McGhee (Philadelphia/Cheltenham) ran a season-best 6.60 to win the 55-meter event out of heat number one, the fastest of the heats. McGhee was also third in th4e 200-meter event in a time of 23:12 running in heat number one. In the mile, Justin Dosch (Sunbury/Shikellamy) was sixth in 4:34.03, while the men's distance relay team of Brandon Palmer (Carlisle/Big Spring), Mike Cogan (Schnecksville/Parkland), Bill Shephardson (McMurray/Peters Township) and Dosch were third in a time of 11:06.35.
