Bloomsburg Takes Part in Misericordia Invitational

MEN'S and WOMEN'S RESULTS

DALLAS, PA —The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track teams took part in the College Misericordia Invitational on Saturday.

In men's action, Greg McGhee (Philadelphia/Cheltenham) took first in the 100-meters in 11.39 and was first in the 200-meters in 22.95. Mike Cogan (Schnecksville/Parkland) was second in the 200-meters in 23.02 seconds. Cogan also came home first in the 400-meters in 50.81 seconds.

In the 800-meters, Brandon Palmer (Carlisle/Big Spring), was third in a time of 2:02.12 and first in the 1,500-meters in 4:09.36 with Justin Dosch (Sunbury/Shikellamy) second in 4:25.84. Dosch took first in the 3,000-meters on 8:54.76.

On the women's side, Cherise Mercer (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) was first in the 800-meters in 2:19.78, while Hilary Rice (Douglassville/Bangor) was second in a time 2:29.06 and Sarah Bounds (Shippensburg/Shippensburg) fourth in 2:30.46.

In the 3,000-meters, Amanda Pisano (Smithtown, NY/Smithtown) was first in a time of 10:42.20, while Mary Bacher (Allentown/Central Catholic) was second in 10:51.60, while Bounds was third in 10:56.30.

In the 1,500-meter race, Katie Conlon (Inkerman/Pittston Area) was second in 5:08.17, while Jessica Billingsly (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) was fifth in 5:26.38.
