SLIPPERY ROCK —Three Bloomsburg University track runners advanced to Saturday's finals at the 2004 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Track championships at Slippery Rock University.

Advancing to finals of the women's 800 meters was Cherise Mercer who had the fifth fastest qualifying time in the preliminary round on Friday. Mercer ran 2:17.71 to advance.

On the men's side, Greg McGhee and Mike Cogan moved on to Saturday's finals in the 200 meters. McGhee had the sixth fastest time at 22.39, while Mike Cogan was seventh at 22.48.

In the 100-meter prelims, the Huskies' Greg McGhee missed the finals by 1/100th of a second finishing with a time of 11.03 seconds, ninth overall. Cogan also missed qualifying for the finals, but did run a personal-best 11.11 seconds, good for 11th overall.

In the women's 10,000 meter race, freshman Sarah Bounds was 10th overall in a time of 39:35.16.
