Bloomsburg Indoor Track Team Runs at Susquehanna
SELINSGROVE —The Bloomsburg University indoor track team took part in the Susquehanna University meet on Friday night.
Tim Marcoe started the evening out by running 16:01.45 in the 5000 meters good for sixth out of 19 runners. In the 200 meters, Greg McGhee was second overall in an improved time of 22.70, while Jamie Ruth and Sam Martin came just short in their PSACqualifying attempts with 23.77 and 23.87 respectively.
In the men's 55 meters, Marcus Waddy ran 6.79 to qualify for the PSAC championships in only the fifth track meet of his life. McGhee was second out of 49 in the 55 meter trials with 6.60 and was third in the finals with 6.61. Ruth ran a PSAC qualifier in the 400 meters with a 51.59 effort and was third in a field of 49. Matt Corridoni was 3rd out of 54 competitors in the 800 meters running 1:59.90.
The Huskies will take part in the PSAC Championships next weekend at East Stroudsburg.
