Janine DiSalvatore Named PSAC Swimmer of the Week Again

BLOOMSBURG-Bloomsburg University swimmer Janine DiSalvatore (Thornton/West Chester East) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the period ending Jan. 20th. It is the second consecutive week DiSalvatore has been honored by the PSAC.

A senior, DiSalvatore won four individual races and one relay to help Bloomsburg to wins over Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg. She won both the 200 fly (2:11.99) and 200 free (1:56.47) against Shippensburg. She then set an ESU pool record in the 200 fly winning in 2:13.00, took home first in the 100 fly in 1:00.37 and was part of the winning 400 free relay (3:47.09).

A week earlier DiSalvatore picked up wins in the 200 free in 1:58.11 and first in the 100 fly in 1:02.46 at a meet in Florida to earn PSAC Swimmer of the Week honors.

The Huskies, 5-2, host Indiana (PA) in the team's final home meet of the season Saturday.
