LaBuda's award is the latest in a long line of awards for the junior forward for the 2000-01 season. Among the awards for LaBuda were being named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Year and a first team All-PSAC selection. LaBuda was named the MVP of the NCAA East Region Tournament at Shippensburg and was a second team Daktronics All-Region selection. In a loss to Shippensburg in the regional finals, LaBuda went over the 1,000-point mark for her career when she scored 19 points before missing the final seven minutes of the game with an ankle sprain. She became just the 13th player in school history to reach 1,000 points for a career.
