WHLM To Air Bloomsburg Football—Yahoo! Extends Internet Agreement

BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University is pleased to announce that all its football games for the 2002 will once broadcast by WHLM (AM 930) radio.

WHLM, owned by the Columbia Broadcasting Company, will air all 10 regular season games plus any NCAA playoff games for the Huskies this season. Longtime announcer Jim Doyle will again handle play-by-play with Andy Ulicny doing the color commentary.

WHLM president and general manager Joe Reilly is thrilled to have the Huskies on his radio station.

“We are Bloomsburg's hometown favorite radio station and so it is only natural that we broadcast Bloomsburg University football,” said Reilly. “Plus, along with great football, we have two of the best sports announcers I have ever had the pleasure of working with in Jim (Doyle) and Andy (Ulicny). I can't wait for the first game on Sept. 7th.”

All games will also be aired over the internet through Yahoo! Broadcast.com. Bloomsburg University recently signed a deal to keep all Bloomsburg football and men's basketball games on the internet with Yahoo! through 2006. In addition, starting this season, all women's basketball games will also be aired over the internet through Yahoo!. Bloomsburg is the only PSAC Eastern Division school airing all its women's basketball games over the internet.

During the football season all broadcasts will begin half an hour before kickoff with the pre-game show featuring Danny Hale.

The Huskies open play Sept. 7th at Indiana (PA) starting at 7 p.m.
