Bloomsburg to Face St. Bonaventure in Men's Basketball Exhibition
BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's basketball team will open its 2005-06 season with an exhibition game against Division I St. Bonaventure University it was announced by head coach Terry Conrad.
The game with the Bonnies will played Friday, Nov. 11th at 7:30 p.m. at St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, NY.
“I really appreciate head coach Anthony Solomon and St Bonaventure giving us this opportunity to compete against a Atlantic 10 opponent,” said Conrad. “My scheduling philosophy has always been to compete against tough opponents in the non-conference season and this is certainly fits that philosophy.”
The game will be the first of 28 for the Huskies during the season. Bloomsburg will begin its regular season five days later on Nov. 16th when it hosts Pitt-Johnstown at 7:30 p.m. at the Nelson Field House.
Bloomsburg will also take on teams from Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division during the year along with its slate of PSAC Eastern Division games.
Other non-conference games include matchups with Mercyhurst, Bowie State, Shepherd along with playing in the Bowie State tournament.
